The National Cadet Corps (NCC) plays an important role in the holistic development of students studying in Government Senior Secondary Schools of District Solan. NCC aims at grooming young students by nurturing discipline, leadership qualities, patriotism, and a spirit of national service, thereby channelizing their energy towards nation building and responsible citizenship.
NCC units functioning in district schools operate under 1 HP Boys Battalion NCC and 1 HP Girls Battalion NCC , Solan, providing equal opportunities to both boys and girls to participate in structured training and developmental activities.
The motto of NCC, “Unity and Discipline,” reflects its commitment towards developing character, confidence, and a sense of responsibility among student cadets.
Enrollment & Training
Students enrolled as NCC cadets undergo regular institutional training which includes drill, physical fitness, leadership development, social service activities, and participation in national programmes and camps organized at District, State, and National levels.
Cadets are guided and supervised by trained Associate NCC Officers (ANOs) and Caretaker Officers in respective schools under the overall coordination of NCC authorities.
